Caine's Arcade - Arcade Game Project in Counseling

In grade 3 counseling classes students have watched a video called Caine's Arcade.  The video teaches about innovation and kindness - two important parts of the Graded Mission and values.

For the last few weeks of counseling, grade 3 students will be designing and building their own cardboard arcade games.  During the last few days of school, grade 3 students will be able to share their arcade games and invite the other lower school students to play and enjoy.

This week in counseling, students will begin their designing and building.  They will need to bring in recycled or already used goods to repurpose and redesign as well as some supplies for construction. Some of the items they might need include:

  • Cardboard boxes
  • Plastic bottles
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • An old toy
If you could ask your child about her/his design and what materials he/she needs to bring to school, that would be very helpful.  If you have questions or would like to know more about the project, please feel free to email heidi.pierce@graded.br

Thank you for your continued support and be well.
Heidi
