Lower School Update - May 8, 2017

Attending School Events

May is turning out to be a busy month with many events. You may have noticed more invitations being sent to families to attend events both during the school day, and some on the evenings and weekends. A special thank you to all those parents that have been on campus in the past few weeks, and those of you that are planning on joining us for the upcoming Hearty Bowls and Festa Junina. It is a pleasure to have families join us on campus, whether visiting your child or volunteering, you help make us a strong community!

to celebrate the money raised for LeComigo during the Walkathon, and

also helped with breakfast during the the 1st grade sleepover.

Hearty Bowls

We will be holding a Hearty Bowls Dinner on Thursday, May 11th at 7:00pm to raise funds for Casa do Coração. We hope you can join us for some conversation over soup to help this worthwhile cause!

Festa Junina

We hope to see everyone for the PTA Festa Junina event on Saturday, details are below.

2017-18 Class Placement Parent Survey

An email was sent out this morning to all K5 to 4th grade parents about with a survey to provide information about your child for the upcoming school year. Please be sure to complete it by next Monday, May 15th.

Grade Transition Coffees

Just a reminder for our fourth grade and K5 parents about the upcoming information sessions about grade transitions. On May 16th our fifth grade team will present to fourth grade parents about the transition to fifth grade next school year. On May 22nd our first grade teachers will do the same for our K5 parents. We encourage parents to attend to become more familiar with the different classroom structures when students transition between these grade levels.
