In Reader's Workshop, children will be growing knowledge across books! Students will have opportunities to read text sets of books on different topics. Learning new strategies in order to keep deepening their knowledge of a topic by reading more and more books that go together, will be our focus this week.
In Writer's Workshop, we will be writing information books about every day activities that involve balance and motion, like riding a bike, swimming, gymnastics, etc. We will be applying scientific terms that we have learned in our Science unit.

Science : We will be wrapping up our Balance and Motion unit and getting ready for our Rube Goldberg Machine Project. We will be sending a letter home with more details this week!

Math: Unit 8 "Fractions"
This unit emphasizes fractions of regions and collections of objects, as well as relationships between fractions. While the focus of the unit is on fraction notations and equivalencies, multiplication and division concepts ate touched upon.
