Lower School Update - March 11, 2019

The Eagle’s Nest
Two classes were awarded the Golden G award today for demonstrating the Eagle Way. Congratulations to Ms. Julia’s Pre-primary class and Mr. Gaines’ fifth grade class!

Core Value: Perseverance
For the next few weeks, the core value we will focus on is perseverance. Our Graded definition reads, when we persevere, “We strive to overcome obstacles. We do our best, even when faced with challenges.” It’s worth noting that our definition is about striving and doing our best. Although the video example we shared at Monday’s nest ends with success, this an opportunity to promote perseverance as your personal best rather than achievement.  Here’s to giving it our best efforts this week and beyond!

March 22 - No School For Students
On Friday, March 22 the Graded faculty will participate in a planned professional development day. This means teachers will work together to discuss existing programs and determine methods to strengthen those programs. We will have two external educational consultants visiting to work with our teachers on this day. As such, there will be no classes for students.
