Applying our Reading and Writing Skills
Same skills, different contexts... I wonder Grade 4, in what ways have we been using what we know about information reading and writing to support our learning in our different activities?
After our assembly, you had the opportunity to interview your grandparents, parents or special friend about their experiences as a student. You then synthesized the information gathered from your interview using the note-taking text structure compare and contrast.
Consider the following questions as you reflect on your writing:
- What is similar about the information? What does this teach us? What does this make you realize?
- What is different about the information? What does this teach us? What does this make you realize?
- What connections could you make to the information shared?
