Lower School Update - February 11, 2019

After School Activities
Semester two after school activities start this week. Please be sure to remind your child if they are participating. If your child has an activity, they will be brought to the LS Playground at the end of the school day to meet their activity leader. Activities end at 4:00 pm. If students do not take the bus, we ask that parents/guardians to pick students up from the activity. Any students who are remaining will be brought to the LS Office to wait for a parent/guardian. Please remember that Lower School students are not to be on campus unsupervised after 3:05 pm (they must be with an adult). If you have any questions about activities, feel free to contact Rob Switzer, our Director of Athletics and Activities by email at robert.switzer@graded.br

Visiting Authors
Award-winning authors and illustrator, Candace Fleming and Eric Rohmann, are on campus this week!  Remember that Livro Facil has a limited number of their books for sale. Also, don't miss their special session for parents, Thursday, February 14, 8:15-9:00 am in the LS Studio (next to the LS Library).

Eagle Way Tip of the Week
We have been focusing on our core value of intellectual curiosity this month. How do you encourage curiosity at home? The following article Curiosity: How Parents Foster Lifelong Learning in Children explains the importance of developing curiosity and lists twelve ways for parents to stimulate your child’s curiosity.
