Students first worked on their mind map for 20 minutes without any resources, to see how much they could explain and remember on their own. Then, students continued working on their mind map with a different colored writing tool and their resources to add-on missing elements. Students were encouraged to look back at their notes or visit their google classroom for review sites. The results were interesting. Seeing how students organize information in their heads was illuminating for them and for teachers. Now they are encouraged to re-organize their work to help them better review the concepts and prepare for their quiz and board game.
