The First Day of School

Hello students and families! 


We are very excited to start the Grade 5 year with you on Monday, August 6 at 8:05am. Our first day of school will start on Day G. 


Schedules 
You may be wondering how to prepare for the first day, so please check your homeroom teachers' schedule so you are ready for Monday. (Please note Mr.Wolfe & Ms.Gehrels' students have P.E on Monday so please wear appropriate gym clothing.)



Supplies 
You received your supplies list by email and you may be surprised that you do not have to bring your own writing journal to school. If you have already bought yourself one then that is great, because you are ready for at-home writing. Set up a special homework space now so you can start your year off right. Every night you will be asked to read and do some math. 

Birthdays
In Grade 5 we will celebrate your birthday at the end of the month. This means no individual birthday times. We ask parents to check the birthday dates and coordinate with other birthdays that month. Please bring a small snack for two homeroom classes. Note birthdays will always be celebrated at the end of the day, and we will send times as the date approaches.

We will continue to post information and updates on this class blog. You may want to "follow" this blog so you receive updates timely and stay connected with Grade 5 happenings.
