PAL updates

Students are involved in various types of activities in PAL these upcoming days.
Besides taking part in the activities of the  Brazilian Book Fair in which students will get to know a Brazilian author and some of the newest editions in Portuguese for children their age, students will also take part in the Assembly of Vivas Palavras 2018 edition, the celebration of the reading and writing work in Portuguese throughout the school.

Novice students are working on getting the proper pronunciation when talking about fruits and foods in the lunch menu at school. After feeling safe enough in using the language structures, students will practice dialogues and record videos showing their conversations about the school lunch menu. This will be a great opportunity to raise self-awareness.

Intermediate students are working on a project called Quem é ele / ela?  to use the contents they have learned about question formation in Portuguese and present a game show to the class, by asking questions and checking who is the first to guess the correct answers.
High Intermediate students have been working hard on their presentations about the contents learned in the shared reading of Brazilian author Maria José Dupré's A Ilha Perdida, at the same time they are studying the characteristics of adventure narratives and using them to create their own narrative stories.
