Grade Transition Coffees

For our fourth grade and K5 parents there are important information sessions coming up in May. On May 16th our fifth grade team will present to fourth grade parents about the transition to fifth grade next school year. On May 22nd our first grade teachers will do the same for our K5 parents. We encourage parents to attend to become more familiar with the different classroom structures when students transition between these grade levels.  

Sensitive Topics in TV and on Websites

Recently there has been a lot of conversations and questions about certain TV shows and websites that discuss, and might even promote, self harm and suicide.  These are both topics that are highly sensitive and that Lower School students are not developmentally able to process. As with any other form of media, please monitor what your child is watching and which websites they are visiting.  If you find that your child is watching or visiting sites that explore these or other sensitive topics, it is highly recommended you immediately intervene.  If needed, please contact one of our counselors who can connect you with a trained professional.

Yearbook Presales:  “Pause for a Moment”

The 2016-17 Yearbook is coming soon! Pre-Sales begin today. Order your copies at Livro Facil (online or at the student store across from the cafeteria). Pre-sale orders will take place from April 17-27 for R$140, regular sale will be April 28 to June 14 for R$175.
