Please remember to help with the 3rd Grade Instrument Project during the days of April 24th, 25th and 26th. Please donate any old boxes or paper towel rolls that can be converted into recycled instruments. Parents interested in volunteering with construction during this time would be much appreciated.

LANGUAGE ARTS:
It continues to be an exciting time in both reading and writing. Students are developing more advanced skills and are making meaningful connections to both what they read and write. Our focus in reading is on informational text. Students are being provided experiences that allow them to identify important elements on this type of text. Learning targets include identification of main idea and details, text structure and author’s purpose. In writing, we are enjoying the opportunity to share our thoughts and opinions in writing. Please continue to support your child’s reading and writing progress by ensuring ample time to practice at home.
