Writing
Students continue to enjoy  the a wide variety of stories and tales from cultures around the world. It has been a wonderful opportunity to develop critical thinking skills and appreciate cultural diversity. In reading these tales, the classes are better able to identify important story elements and analyze varying plots.  In writing, the third graders have the opportunity to create adapted fairytales of their own. Please encourage your child to retell the stories they are reading. This is a wonderful opportunity to help your child to develop his/ her oral language.
