Happy Holidays from Mr. Ro

Dear Parents and Students,
It has been a wonderful semester and I hope you have a restful and peaceful holiday break.  Thank you all so much for the support.

Students please share your holiday stories by completing the Holiday Slide Show.   The is an optional vacation assignment.  Click on the link to learn more about it.

Math:

Students should continue practicing adding and subtracting 3-digit numbers with regrouping.  For example 236 + 476 = and 762 - 239 =.

These problems require students to regroup to add or subtract.  Practicing multiplication facts from 1x1 to 10x10 is also highly recommended.  If you would like new Mathletics tasks assigned to your child, please email me. I will be adding Mathletics tasks throughout the break. Fluency in computation and a good understanding of place value is the priority in third grade!

Reading:
Please try to read everyday!  If you need some book recommendations while on break, here is a great recommended book list.
Some recommended site for reading:

I am looking forward to hearing about all of the great books you read on break and seeing your wonderful holiday stories on your slideshow!

Lots of love and happiness to all of you!

Beijos e Abraços,

Mr. Ro
