Morning Meditation
Third Graders Explore Morning Meditation
Students in Ms. Davis' class have begun establishing a morning meditation practice to prepare for learning and to cultivate both a calm body and mind. They have enjoyed exploring various postures and are being encouraged to build an awareness of breath. In addition, the students are maintaining a reflection journal to record their insights. We're off to a great start to building what, for some, will be a life long practice. Parents are encouraged to ask their child about his/her response to this new experience.
