Happy Carnival!
Here's what we've been up to in 2nd grade this week:

And just like that Carnival is here and we are off on vacation again! We had a fabulous bloco style carnival this morning. I hope everyone has a great week!
Language Arts/Science
This week we started our Non-Fiction reading unit and looked at paying attention to details and putting the parts of the text together to talk about what we learned We also talked about the importance of questioning while you read to help you learn and understand the text better.
We are studying Balance and Motion this trimester in science and this is a combined unit that encompasses writing Lab Reports based on our experiments. This week we learned the different parts of a lab report: Question and Hypothesis, Procedures, Results, and Conclusion. We have already written two lab reports!
Math
We have finished up our 6th unit in math. We worked on explaining our strategies for solving double digit subtraction problems and learned how arrays can be used to show multiplication problems.
